Benhall
It’s been a busy summer for Ben. His self-titled debut CD has continued to receive rave reviews. A digital-only EP titled More Ben Hall! was released on July 7th. Ben was once again a part of the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society Convention held each year in Nashville. He played on the hugely poplar show Music City Roots along with other guitar greats like Bryan Sutton, Guthrie Trapp, and Viktor Krauss. Then came the highlight of the summer when Ben played at the VIP reception for new exhibit Chet Atkins: Certified Guitar Player at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The list of guitar player in attendance reads like a who’s who including Steve Wariner, Earl Klugh, Reggie Young, Duane Eddy, James Burton, Scotty Moore, Paul Yandell, Mark Pricther Larry Carlton, Eddie Pennington, Harold Bradley, Wayne Moss, Norbert Putnam, Jack Pearson, Ray Edington, and many more. We have added some new tour dates and more will be added as Fall draws near. Thanks to all for your support and for helping Ben keep the tradition of thumbstyle guitar alive and well.

Guitarist Ben Hall hails from Okolona, Mississippi. He is a thumbstyle guitarist who won numerous competitions before he hit 20, and has played with Charlie Louvin, Candi Staton, and Kurt Wagner and Cortney Tidwell of KORT. On his debut for New York's Tompkins Square imprint, Hall showcases his thumbstyle picking (also known as "Travis style," named for Merle Travis, a fingerpicking style where the thumb plucks the bass strings that alternate with the remaining fingers that focus on harmony and melody) backed by Sammy Merendino on drums and Skip Ward on bass.
